Customising Your Marriage Certificate Holder: 4 Steps

Customising a pair of MyO! certificate holders comes down to four decisions. The process starts with picking a design and ends with the finished holder arriving. For an overview of every design and choice, start with the complete guide to certificate holders.
The four steps
- Choose a design: 6 designs, which set the pattern on the cover.
- Choose a colour: 2 colours, beige and blue.
- Stamp names and date: give us the couple’s names and wedding date, which go into the cover’s stamp fields.
- Receive your holder: production starts once the design proof is confirmed, and the finished pair is sent out.
Two colours across 6 designs gives 12 combinations. The colour also decides the material: beige is linen, blue is frosted pearl. They feel different, but the interior size is identical across all 12 combinations. For the texture and care differences, see linen vs frosted pearl materials.
What can be personalised
The cover carries two stamp fields: one for the couple’s names, one for the wedding date. Those two fields are the whole of the cover stamping. How the stamping process works and how the price is worked out is covered separately in hot-foil process and pricing. For personalisation directions beyond the two fields, see personalisation options.
What is fixed
Two fields means the printable content is fixed: names plus date, with no room to add extra lines. Two things are worth settling before ordering: whether the names should sit side by side, and which date format you want. If either name is long, telling us in advance avoids the type size being squeezed down.
How the fonts are paired
The designer pairs a Chinese calligraphic face with an English serif and sets both on the centre of the cover. Each language gets a face that suits calligraphy or serif, and both are centred on the same visual centre, so the two lines do not crowd each other. If you want a particular font, raise it before ordering. For the full bilingual layout, see bilingual certificate guide.
Lead time
Custom orders take about 7-14 working days depending on order volume, counted from the point the design proof is confirmed. If your wedding or registration date is fixed, move your order earlier to leave room for the stamping lead time plus delivery buffer. If the wedding and the registration fall on different dates, work from the earlier one.
Price
Each holder is HK$388, and that price already includes printing the couple’s names and the wedding date, so the stamping step is not charged separately. All 12 combinations are priced the same way.
Interior size is not affected
All 12 combinations share the same interior size and hold the same Hong Kong marriage certificate, without folding or a separate protector sleeve. Choosing a design or a colour carries no sizing risk. The measured dimensions are in certificate holder sizing.
