Linen vs Frosted Pearl Material Guide

Linen vs Frosted Pearl Material Guide

Two materials

MyO! offers only two materials: linen and frosted pearl. Velvet and leather holders, which are common elsewhere, are not part of the range. The material follows the colour rather than being chosen separately — beige is linen, blue is frosted pearl. Across 6 designs and 2 colours that gives 12 combinations.

Comparison table

Material Colour Texture Best for
Linen Beige #F6DBA6 Natural matte texture, warm hand Minimal styles
Frosted pearl Blue #0A477E Fine pearl sheen A more luxurious look

About linen

Linen has a natural matte texture and a warm hand, suiting customers who prefer a minimal style. The colour is beige (#F6DBA6), which reads close to undyed cloth.

About frosted pearl

Frosted pearl has a fine pearl sheen and looks more luxurious. The colour is blue (#0A477E) and the sheen shows more readily under light.

Where care differs

The care routine is the same for both: a dry soft cloth, solvents avoided, stored somewhere cool and dry. There is one difference. When avoiding water and chemical solvents, frosted pearl needs particular care, because solvents damage the pearl coating. Linen has more room for error on that point. For the full day-to-day routine, see holder care instructions.

Material and size are unrelated

All 12 combinations share the same interior size, A4 at 297 x 210 mm. The material affects feel and appearance, never whether your certificate fits, so choosing on material carries no sizing risk. Detailed dimensions are in certificate holder sizing.

How to choose

If you prefer minimal styles, or the natural matte texture and warm hand of linen, take beige linen. If you prefer the finer, more luxurious pearl sheen, take blue frosted pearl and be more careful about solvents. Neither needs special equipment to keep. Once chosen, display and storage are covered in display and storage.

Photographs of each finish are on the colour section of the homepage. For every design and choice in one place, see the complete guide to certificate holders.
